Teacher, composer and multi-instrumentalist Lucas Hicks has performed on stages across the United States, Canada, Spain and Mexico. He plays accordion, banjo, and The Marvelous Contraption with The Gallus Brothers, The Crow Quill Night Owls, Rattletrap Ruckus and The Shadies. In 2014 he could be found tutoring 5-string banjo at the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes in Port Townsend, performing with his accordion across northern Spain and at the New Orleans Fringe Festival,

 calling square dances at the Portland Old Time Gathering and onstage with Maria Muldaur at the Jugband Hall of Fame in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a two time first place winner of the Weiser Idaho banjo contest and holds a BA music from Western Washington University. He lives in the Sunnyland neighborhood in Bellingham where he teaches private lessons on ukulele, banjo, guitar, accordion, percussion and whatnot to children and adults.
